  23. ¬1A   guy,   suffering   from   a  lousy
  24. childhood, confines himself in killing
  25. models  and  scalping them afterwards.
  26. After  each  murder,  he  talks to his
  27. modeldolls and treats them the way his
  28. mother treated him.

  31. This  is  not  the strongest storyline
  32. I've  seen  and  boring at some times.
  33. For  those  who  like  their cult with
  34. non-stop gore, this is not the one for
  35. you.   Although,  the  ones  who don't
  36. mind  could  do worse than give this a
  37. watch.   The  special effects are of a
  38. very  high  Tom  Savini  standard.  He
  39. also plays a small part where his head
  40. gets  shot  off  in slow motion.  But,
  41. for  those  who  are  blessed  with  a
  42. fastforward  button are advised to use
  43. it.  Directed by William Lustig

  47. ¬3           ZOMBI HOLOCAUST

  49. ¬1The  U.S.   release  version  has been
  50. renamed   to  Dr.Butcher  M.D.(Medical
  51. Deviate)  which  is a more appropriate
  52. title.   An  expedition  to a far away
  53. island  turns  out  to be inhabited by
  54. native  cannibals.   A  doctor  slices
  55. every  victim  and implants the brains
  56. of  a  living  person  in  it,  so the
  57. victim  can  work  like  a  slave (the
  58. zombies).

  61. Another       flush-it-down-the-toilet
  62. storyline  with  some Dawn of the Dead
  63. like  special effects.  Especially the
  64. cannibal  scenes  are gory.  You won't
  65. have  to  fastforwind  'coz  the movie
  66. keeps going and really does not become
  67. a  bore after an hour.  Recommended to
  68. the  gore-fiends.   Directed  by Frank

  71. ¬3       CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD

  73. ¬1An original story from H.P.  Lovecraft
  74. has  been  filmed  as COTLD.  A priest
  75. hangs  himself in the city of Dunwich,
  76. hereby  opening  the gates to hell.  A
  77. book tells that on a special day, when
  78. the  gates  are  opened, the dead will
  79. walk.   This  happens eventually.  But
  80. not the way you think it will.

  83. The  first  real  Italian  film with a
  84. little  atmosphere.   Effects  are few
  85. which  makes this a must for those who
  86. like  their  cult  with  a little less
  87. gore.  The small amount of zombies and
  88. the  nice maggotstorm should be enough
  89. to  excite  the gore lovers.  Not bad.

  94. ¬3      THE HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY

  96. ¬1The  new  inhabitants  of a house come
  97. across    some   strange   goings   on
  98. concerning the old owners.  There is a
  99. strange   zombie  in  the  cellar  who
  100. gradually  kills  everyone  who  comes
  101. around.

  104. Another Italian gore masterpiece.  The
  105. story   is  weak  again  but  this  is
  106. compensated  by  the  special effects.
  107. Again  Lucio  Fulci's standard actress
  108. Katharine McColl stars in this one and
  109. of  course  the  movie  is  dubbed  in
  110. English.   Recommended.   Directed  by
  111. Lucio Fulci (dubbed in English)

  114. House  by  the  cemetery is one of the
  115. few    Italian    movies   which   are
  116. frequently  in  stock  in  your  local
  117. rental  store.   Maniac is also seen a
  118. lot.
